Mode of action:

OSIRIX works by inhibiting the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), which is essential for the synthesis of amino acids in plants. This leads to the disruption of growth and eventual death of the targeted weeds.

Method and Time of application:

Recommended as an early post-emergence herbicide, applied as a foliar spray when weeds are at the 2–3 leaf stage.
